Rob Mullane - Principal, AICP, IPMA-SCP
With more than 20 years of dedication to the public and private sectors, Mr. Mullane brings his management and organizational assessment talents to clients seeking assistance with operations, personnel and training needs, and process improvements.
He has extensive experience in municipal government, having worked for the County of Maui, County of Santa Barbara, City of Goleta, City of Ojai, and the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea. His past positions include serving as the Community Development Director for the City of Ojai and both the Public Works Director and Community Planning and Building Director at the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea. In these capacities, he established a successful track record for assessing, rebuilding, and modernizing departments, as well as improving the operations and efficiency of the overall organization.
His private sector experience includes working as a Planning Division Manager with Rincon Consultants, an environmental consulting firm in San Luis Obispo. Mr. Mullane has also served as a Planning Commissioner and Parks and Recreation Commissioner with the City of Buellton, and on the Board of Directors for the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center.
Mr. Mullane’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Duke University with a minor in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. He is also a certified planner with the American Planning Association and a member of the American Public Works Association.
